The above account has no personal photos, information, or posts. Troll? Maybe. It could just a private account (which hides much of what is posted or shared). But trolls or bots always post inflammatory comments on real sites. I commented that he was a likely troll on his comment "LOL" on a news story about funeral homes being unable to store all of the deceased from Covid in California. I listed these issues.
What was his response?
His response was the almost 100% response from trolls: a smiley-face emoji. Almost always the entity in these cases (in my experience) use this response. Once they used a laughing GIF.
I regularly see these comments. Regular users become enraged and comment--which pushes this comment to the top of the feed.
Trolls and bots may also have strange personal histories: one claimed to start at two different universities at the same day in April. Mostly they list few things. Often they share memes, fake news, and sometimes even fundraisers.
